Nirmal Vatika Sub-plan under MGNREGA-MP

This sub-plan aims at keeping villages pollution-free and maintaining ecological balance through its convergence with the Total Sanitation Campaign. Under this, additional sources are also provided to strengthen Total Sanitation Campaign. Latrines are constructed on private lands of the villagers under Total Sanitation Campaign. A couple of leech pits are prepared in a latrine and multipurpose saplings (neem, aonla, guava, mango, banana, papaya etc) are planted to keep the environment pollution-free under Nirmal-Vatika sub-plan.

·                    So far, over 3 lakh 60 thousand works sanctioned under Nirmal Vatika sub-plan.

·               Over 1 lakh 14 thousand works completed out of the sanctioned ones. More than 20 lakh saplings planted.

·                   Over 2 lakh works f plantation in progress under Nirmal Vatika.
